For more than 15 years, Karen Cazemier has dedicated her career to senior care. Her journey began when her grandmother required support beyond what traditional settings offered. Wanting something more personal and comforting, she established her first small care home focused on warmth, safety, and genuine connection. Her work expanded into operating multiple residential care homes across Alberta, managing as many as five simultaneously. Her leadership approach has been hands-on and heart-led, creating home-like environments while managing staffing, licensing, and daily care complexities. She recognized that exceptional small care homes remained largely invisible to families, which became BedHub’s foundation — a platform designed to expand access to trusted, high-quality care while bringing greater visibility to small homes and their communities.

Caroline Redington

Chief Operating Officer

Caroline Redington joined BedHub in its early stages, helping bring the vision to life. With more than 25 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s transitions, her work has been defined by intentional listening, steady guidance, and pairing empathy with practical insight. Her path into senior living became personal in 2018 when her parents required increasing care levels. Through that experience, she gained firsthand understanding of the emotional and logistical complexities families face and the profound difference compassionate environments and clear information provide during uncertainty. When her mother later moved into one of Karen’s homes, Caroline witnessed the strength of small, family-style care: relationships, comfort, and dignity in everyday life. This perspective continues shaping her leadership as she ensures BedHub remains a trusted resource for families while strengthening connections between care providers and communities.
